Dear Soroptimist Friends,
I am pleased to announce that we cordially invite Soroptimists to participate in the “International Friendship Week” which will be held in İzmir between, 27 April- 4May 2008 .
This will be a unique opportunity through which we shall establish strong friendship ties, exchange ideas and experiences. Furthermore, we will introduce our guests to many historical, archeological and natural sites in the vicinity of our town situated on the coast of turquoise Aegean waters. Turkish hospitality, Turkish cuisine and culture will accompany the whole programme.
The programme will include daily and overnight trips to the ancient sites of, Sardis, Ephesus and the Shrine of Virgin Mary, Hieropolis, Leodicia, Aphrodisias , city tour of Izmir, resort town Cesme, swimming option at the hot thermal pool of the hotel in Pamukkale, lunches and dinners at traditional local restaurants to try Turkish cuisine, a visit to hand-crafts center and a presentation about and exhibit of the world-famous Turkish carpets, visits to weaving villages, shopping possibilities, ending with a gala-dinner.
The due date for receipt of applications and registration is set as March 31st, 2008.
Once the participation and registration are confirmed mutually, visitors will be provided with full programme details. However, the tentative program flow is given below. The total participation fee is 550 Euro’s net. This fee includes accomodation,lunches, dinners, transfers, guiding, enterance fees of the sites. The net amount should be deposited at the following bank account of our club:
